Calaveras County Art, Artists & Art Galleries
A Haven for painters, sculptors, designers, photographers, musicians and other performing artists, the Sierra Nevada foothills is home to many artists and galleries. Literally drawing inspiration from the spectacular surroundings, local artists-some of them world-famous-find that the region is a great place to live and work.

In addition, many organizations and galleries support the local art communities. This includes the free concerts the Calaveras Arts Council presents on Wednesday evenings, from June through August (see events for details) each held in a different community park in Calaveras County. For many years now, thousands of people of all ages have come to picnic, socialize and enjoy these concerts.
